These days unity, whether of our society or of our Church, seems to be under a bit of strain — if not outright attack — and this can be unsettling. As Catholics, we know from the Creed that unity — One — is the first of the four marks of our Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. But where does this Oneness come from? Have we lost it? If so, should we try to get it back? And how are we to cope with all the turmoil in the meantime?
Our Lord anticipated these and other questions worried Catholics would have throughout the ages and gives us His Word in the Sacred Scriptures, if we are willing to listen to Him. If you would like to help us listen, please do join us this Tuesday, October 16, at 7:00pm in St. Mary Hall (downstairs) for the first of four meetings (also October 23, 30, and November 6). No worries if you do not have your own Bible you can borrow one of ours.
Look forward to seeing you there!
