Please join us in praying as Father Ron begins a health leave for Lyme Disease.

Father Ron wrote on May 17:

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you the news that this past week I began a “health leave” and had to end my assignment with the Catholic Community of Billerica. Lyme Disease, that had been in remission for several years, decided to manifest itself with a fever that has been raging for the last three months.

In the last few weeks more symptoms started to appear. Stress and surgery are the culprits once again of this disease. My only alternative was to stop all ministry and attend to my health issues.

I am most appreciative of your encouragement and support over the last two years. It had been my hope to serve you for several years and maybe even stay after retirement.

I pray that the Lord bless each of you with deeper faith as you continue to walk humbly with your God. Let us keep each other in prayer. Amen! So be it!

Pax,
Father Ron

On May 28, Father Ron had an update for us:

Once again, thank you for the many kindnesses you have extended to me. Last week, I had an appointment with a new doctor who has recommended another month of antibiotics.  Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Because so many have sent me Get Well cards, I have decided to take one a day, like a pill, and pray for you and your family. Amen!

I am now in residence at:

Holy Family Parish

Amesbury, Massachusetts 01913

Pax,
Father Ron
