We are pleased to present the 2024 Annual Financial Report to the parishioners of St. Matthew Parish. This report reflects the fiscal year July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
As you know, the numbers can only tell part of the story. Our strength as a faith community is best measured by the ways we express and experience the love of God and of our neighbor. We begin our fourth year as a parish community, enhancing the faith formation of children and adults, encouraging participation in ministries, and managing our financial plan. We are very grateful for the good work done by our Pastoral Team, parish staff and dedicated volunteers, as well as the guidance given by our Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and Building Committee. We pray that with a generous sharing of time, talent, and treasure on the part of all our parishioners, we can continue to make progress growing our parish.
The staff an councils are also blessed and grateful for the leadership and guidance of Fr. Chris and Fr. Jean over the past year as we continued to work on past deferred maintenance, decreasing expenses, and balancing our budget. We are proud to communicate our transparency with parishioners and concentrate on the pastoral needs of our faith community.

SAINT MATTHEW STEWARDSHIP
This year St. Matthew Parish continued to focus on stewardship in all aspects of parish life. Part of stewardship is continuing to broaden our knowledge of God and His church. The primary rewards of stewardship are always personal – both with God and our neighbors. How can we share? We can share spiritually (by attending Mass, praying regularly, attending a parish faith group), sharing our time and talents (volunteering in multiple ways in the parish), and sharing our treasure (by contributing to the parish through giving). We have seen several contributions from our parishioners in the gifts of their time and talent, saving the parish on expenses. We continue to be blessed by the gifts of our parishioners.
Examples of stewardship this year include assistance with electrical work over the year, assistance with landscaping and too many others to mention. Areas at St. Andrew church were demo'd and remediated for mold, and reconstructed during the year. Many thanks to Dino and those who assisted with all these projects. We especially appreciate the many hours he spent restoring the confessional room at the back of the church. We are grateful and blessed for their stewardship, saving the parish several thousands of dollars.
