We are pleased to present the 2023 Annual Financial Report to the parishioners of St. Matthew Parish. This report reflects the fiscal year July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023.
As you know, the numbers can only tell part of the story. Our strength as a faith community is best measured by the ways we express and experience the love of God and of our neighbor. We begin our second year as a parish community, enhancing the faith formation of children and adults, encouraging participation in ministries, and managing our financial plan.
Some highlights from the report:
In 2022, the St. Mary property was placed on the market for sale. After an extensive process over several months, the sale was completed on March 24, 2023. Due to a confidentiality agreement in the Purchase and Sale Agreement, Saint Matthew Parish had restrictions on sharing detailed information until the sale was completed. Saint Matthew Parish has retained many of the sacred items from St. Mary to incorporate into our parish.
Altar furniture and furnishings from the sanctuary are currently in storage.
The organ from St. Mary was relocated to St. Theresa church.
The outside statues of Our Lady and the Sacred Heart are in storage.
The electric piano has been moved and in use at St. Andrew church.
The second-class relic of St. Teresa of Calcutta (the pew she sat in when she visited) is in storage.
The Crucifix and the carved Risen Lord in the sanctuary are in storage and will remain with our parish.
We are appreciative to the members of St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish who contribute to the parish using Online Giving!
A monthly donation is gratefully received frompriests in residence.

SAINT MATTHEW STEWARDSHIP
This year St. Matthew Parish focused on stewardship in all aspects of parish life. Part of stewardship is continuing to broaden our knowledge of God and His church. The primary rewards of stewardship are always personal – both with God and our neighbors. How can we share? We can share spiritually (by attending Mass, praying regularly, attending a parish faith group), sharing our time and talents (volunteering in multiple ways in the parish), and sharing our treasure (by contributing to the parish through giving). We have seen several contributions from our parishioners in the gifts of their time and talent, saving the parish on expenses. We continue to be blessed by the gifts of our parishioners.
