We have been blessed with a great group of parishioners who make up our Building Committee and Finance Council providing guidance as we work toward the many repairs needed. Projects underway and completed include:

• Removal of trees from the side of St. Theresa church. These trees were impacting the state of the roof due to the proximity to the church needed to be taken down.
• Repair and painting of the front column at St. Andrew church. Installation of 2 Sante Fe dehumidifiers in the basement at St. Andrew Church (Fr. Wilson Hall).
• Construction scheduled at St. Theresa Church includes gutter, facia, and soffit areas as well as needed repairs to exterior gable and beam areas, and refinishing of the front doors of the church. During the construction at St. Theresa, there will be times that staging will be in place.
• Construction to the front stairs to St. Theresa church will begin around the second week of November. During this time, the front entrance, including the loop, will be blocked off for approximately 2 weeks while construction takes place.
• A new boiler was installed at the Parish Hall at St. Theresa church this past week. For many years, we have put band aids on the old boilers who were now at the very end of their life. With this colder weather, this beautiful boiler is pumping out that heat strong!
• The Fire Alarm system will soon be replaced at St. Andrew church. The existing system is 20+ years old and is ready for an update.
• New parish signs are coming to both churches! We are in the process of reviewing designs and will keep you updated as the process moves along. The sign at St. Andrew will be placed in the same place. The sign at St. Theresa will be a 2-sided sign placed perpendicular to the street so it can be seen from both directions. This sign will also be placed closer to the street.
• We have discovered a mold issue in Fr. Wilson Hall at St. Andrew Church. Our Facilities Manager, Dino has spent innumerable hours on site performing demo work on site. We have had representatives out to examine and evaluate the areas including the foundation, areas of rot near the Fr. Wilson Hall stairway, and more. Two Sante Fe commercial dehumidifiers were installed last week in the hall. The area will be disinfected by the mold remediation company.
