The effects of Covid-19 continue to challenge our lives and our communities. Together we pray through this, knowing that God is present to us at all time.

Scheduled Confession times suspended.  With the Town Emergency in Billerica in effect, All Religious Services for the weekend of March 21-22 are suspended, including confessions. Emergency Confessions are still available by calling the Parish Offices at 978.663.8816.

Open Churches.  Our church buildings will be open from 8 AM to Noon on Sunday, March 22 for those who wish to make a visit and pray. Please respect other visitors space and follow the guidelines of Social Distancing previously set forth.

Funeral Changes.  Beginning Monday, March 23 funeral Masses and Liturgies in our churches are suspended until further notice. Your funeral professionals are aware of this and will guide you through the funereal arranging process. We can have committal prayers at the cemetery and allow you to schedule a Memorial Mass (in the absence to the body or remains) at a later date, similar to the practices that we follow every year during the Sacred Triduum leading to Easter.

Pastoral Care. We continue to offer and provide the pastoral care that we always have, within the confines of the limits set forth during this time of emergency. Our office staff will continue to be present to provide pastoral care and service. Priests will be available for sacramental emergencies especially for those who are dying. We are also available for pastoral assistance and counseling though we recommend this take place over the phone.

May we continue to care for and pray for each other. Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary as Comfort of the Afflicted, Saint Andrew, and Saint Theresa of Lisieux may God send His healing power on all the sick and infirm and his help to those in need.

In Christ,

Fr. Aveni
