The churches were transformed for Christmas Masses starting at 4:00 at both St. Theresa and St. Andrew on Christmas Eve.
A great big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who helped to decorate St. Andrew and St. Theresa Churches. Everything looked so beautiful! In addition, we are truly grateful for our Lectors, Mass Attendants and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist who served this past weekend. The contributions of all our volunteers made the Masses a true celebration of Jesus’ birth!
Did you know the Church celebrates Christmas as an Octave? The octave of Christmas begins on Christmas itself, the feast of the Nativity of the Lord. It ends on the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, on Jan. 1. The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year.
For unto you a child is born this day in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord~
Luke 2:11
