We have been blessed with a great group of parishioners who make up our Building Committee and Finance Council providing guidance as we work toward the many repairs needed. Projects underway and completed include:

• Construction scheduled at St. Theresa Church includes gutter, facia, and soffit areas as well as needed repairs to exterior gable and beam areas, and refinishing of the front doors of the church. During the construction at St. Theresa, there will be times that staging will be in place. 
  • Completed are -
    • soffit areas 
    • parking lot gable windows (completion week of 12.17.2023)
    • In progress - downspouts - parking lot side
    • In progress - gable windows (post office side)
• The Fire Alarm system will replaced in mid-January 2024 at St. Andrew church. The existing system is 20+ years old and is ready for an update.

• New parish signs are coming to both churches! The design fro the sign has been approved! The sign at St. Andrew will be placed in the same place. The sign at St. Theresa will be a 2-sided sign placed perpendicular to the street so it can be seen from both directions. This sign will also be placed closer to the street. The signs will be installed in the spring of 2024 due to the ground being frozen.
• Fr, Wilson Hall Entrance at St, Andrew church remains closed. Areas will be rebuilt and repaired in the spring due to the cold conditions of winter (including the foundation, and areas of rot near the Fr. Wilson Hall stairway, and more).

COMPLETED

• Removal of trees from the side of St. Theresa church. These trees were impacting the state of the roof due to the proximity to the church needed to be taken down.
• Repair and painting of the front column at St. Andrew church.
• Installation of 2 Sante Fe dehumidifiers in the basement at St. Andrew Church (Fr. Wilson Hall).
• Construction to the front stairs to St. Theresa church.
• Railings for front stairs at St. Theresa chrurch.
• A new boiler was installed at the Parish Hall at St. Theresa church. For many years, we have put band aids on the old boilers who were now at the very end of their life. With this colder weather, this beautiful boiler is pumping out that heat strong!
• Two Sante Fe commercial dehumidifiers were installed in Fr. Wilson Hall last week.
• Areas at Fr. Wilson hall were disinfected by the mold remediation company the third week in December.
